Telenor Pakistan is collaborating with a Swedish tech-firm Truecaller for increasing the room of its services. This collaboration would be providing the Telenor customers with a personalized, pro version of the Truecaller app. The application would provide better calling experience to the Telenor users by assisting them to restrict spam messages and calls.

Truecaller is a worldwide crowd-sourced telephone directory application with a special caller ID attribute which would enable the Telenor clients to know the unknown calls and texts and to block them as per their willingness. Spam calls which are about more than three million per year are a major source of tiresomeness for the mobile users.
As per the agreement a six-month free trial of Truecaller Pro would be introduced in Pakistan for providing an upgraded and ad-free experience to the Telenor clients.
Every user would be able to send up to thirty invites to family and friends who have not tried the app so far. Moreover, the users would be able to download Truecaller and would be getting a unique application version with combined Telenor Menu which would further be allowing the activation of Monthly and Weekly Data plans. Users already benefiting from Truecaller app can update their apps to the newer version directly from inside the application.
Bilal Kazmi—CMO-Telenor Pakistan said that being the most favourite digital lifestyle alliance of Pakistan, Telenor is always exploring options for providing much better digital experiences to its customers. He further added that the collaboration with Truecaller would exactly be doing the same that is of facilitating the Telenor users in better ways for best digital lifestyles but with less friction. He also mentioned that with this new facility Telenor would be able to handle and provide better safety to its clients by restricting harassment and spamming done via text messages and calls.
Nami Zarringhalam—Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer-Truecaller said that the firm is glad to have partnered with a telecom industry leader like Telenor Pakistan for assisting people in making their communications much safer and efficient. He also added that the team-up indicates that a big problem is being solved and that a better communication experience is on its way for the Telenor users.
