Nokia 8 launches in Pakistan

Nokia 8 has officially launched in Pakistan. The price of the phone is Rs 59,900.

HMD Global Country Head of Pakistan Kamran Khan said that Nokia 8 has an interesting feature called ‘Dual-Sight’ or ‘Bothie’. It allows users to take pictures both from the front and rear camera simultaneously to experience “both sides of the story”. “Be less Selfie, be more Bothie.”

Now what happens is that a split screen view appears as the users take pictures from both front and rear camera together. The image is called Bothies by Nokia that is a Selfie that has both sides. Nokia said, “There are two sides to every story and the Dual-Sight feature of Nokia 8 is designed to help you create and share the full picture.” Using the dual-sight video users can easily go live on Facebook and YouTube.

The features of Nokia 8 are its 5.3-inch display with 2,560×1,440 pixels. The phone has Ultra HD resolution. The superb hardware and powerful software of Nokia 8 will enable it to beat any competitor in the market. The phone has a dual sim, it runs on Android OS, v7.0 (Nougat), having a really fast speed. Multi-tasking and downloading apps will become quite easier and faster for Nokia 8 users. The screen of the phone is quite well protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 technology. Also, the phone has a fingerprint sensor for unlocking.

The mobile phone market in Pakistan is developing and growing rapidly, so much so that many firms want to invest in Pakistan’s smartphone industry. HMD Global Pakistan Head of Marketing Ammar Ahmed at the launch ceremony of Nokia 8 informed that almost 25,000 handsets are sold per month in Pakistan.

As per Pakistan Bureau of Statistics mobile users in Pakistan are moving towards hi-tech products. Annually 24 million mobile sets are imported out of which half of them are smartphones.
