Huawei said on Saturday its mobile shipments crossed 100million units in the first three quarters of the current financial year. The shipments grew by 19 percent year-on-year basis.
Huawei has seen a substantial growth over the past few years but now Huawei is experiencing phenomenal growth in its shipments for the last couple of years. It is worth mentioning that Huawei has seen a tremendous operating profits growth during this period which grew by more than 30 percent from January to September according to Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei consumer business group while talking to China Daily.
Not only the shipments, Huawei has increased its retail outlets worldwide which grew by 19 percent year-on-year reaching the total of 42,300 retail outlets globally.
Yu said Huawei plans to focus on medium to high-end products in order to expand its global market reach out and lift up its brand image. Huawei currently employs 10,000 professionals working on research and development, we expect to engage more and more high-end customers, which increases the profit margin for the company, he added.
Huawei maintains the top position in the Chinese market in terms of market share, however, the company has crossed Apple Inc, to become the world’s second-largest mobile company in the market share during June and July.
Huawei has still got many opportunities to explore the untapped high-end products market, the way company is launching new high-end products, such as Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 pro and if this continues, there is no doubt in the next few years Huawei would become the world’s largest mobile brand.
