Apple is not planning to launch a 5G smartphone in 2019. But the most reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed the Apple iPhone 5G launch date. As per the analyst, the Apple iPhone 5G will launch next year in 2020.
According to the highly reputed and reliable analyst, the first 5G Apple iPhone will be launched launch at the annual September hardware event in 2020.
The handset will use a Qualcomm-built modem as Apple is still working to build its own in-house solution.
According to Kuo, 5G support arrival will come as part of a huge redesign of the iPhone line-up. The upcoming iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max successors will have a 5.4-inch and 6.7-inch OLED display, respectively.
This is bigger than the 6.5-inch panel on the iPhone XS Max and smaller than the 5.8-inch screen on the iPhone XS. It means that Apple is planning to change the form-factor of its flagship iPhone smartphones by reducing the size of the notch needed for Face ID.
Ming-Chi Kuo also said that the company is preparing to launch a successor to iPhone XR that will keep the 6.1-inch screen size, colorful cases but the OLED will be upgraded.
By 2021, all the three iPhone models will have the 5G support.
