Apple Announces iPhone 13 Release Date As September 14

Apple iPhone event

Apple has just announced that it will launch the next generation of new products on Tuesday next week. In all likelihood, the Apple iPhone 13 and Apple Watch Series 7 will then be the focus.

As Apple just announced, another hardware launch will take place on September 14, 2021, at 6 p.m. GMT, this time under the motto “California Streaming“. The event will officially take place in the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park Campus in Cupertino, but it should actually be a pure streaming event again.

Apple does not invite any press representatives to the event, so that, apart from the employees of the US computer company, no audience should be present directly on site. As in the previous year, the background is the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which has recently experienced a fourth wave in the USA with rising case numbers.

As usual, the company did not reveal which products Apple will present at the “California Streaming” event next week. It can be assumed, however, that we will almost certainly see the new iPhone generation, the next version of the Apple Watch, and under certain circumstances, the AirPods 3, which have been expected for a long time.

According to the analysts, new MacBook Pro and iPad models are also on the march, but these devices are likely to be presented at a somewhat later point in time. It is currently assumed that the iPhone 13 will be launched on the market in a total of four variants, with the mini version appearing for the time being for the last time.

four new iPhones and new watch 7 design

According to various analysts, leak sources, and other observers, Apple wants a 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini, a 6.1-inch iPhone 13, and a 6.1 and 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro, and this year Introduce iPhone 13 Pro Max. The design should not change, apart from a probably slightly smaller “notch” at the top of the screen.

However, the camera module on the back will probably be new, which should be equipped with sensor-shift image stabilizers across all models. The Pro models probably have a better ultra-wide-angle camera, and the iPhone 13 Pro also has a better main camera that is supposed to keep up with the iPhone 13 Pro Max. In addition, of course, there is the new Apple A15 Bionic SoC, faster 5G support, and at least in the Pro versions, probably also 120-Hertz-capable displays.

In addition, there was speculation about larger batteries, always-on-display support, and larger memory variants, although in all cases it has to be confirmed whether the rumor mill will be right. At least with the Apple Watch Series 7, according to the latest reports, Apple is planning a major upgrade in terms of optics: For the first time in years, the smartwatch will probably have a new design with a more angular look in the style of iPhones and larger displays.
