3G/4G Broadband Users in Pakistan Reaches 46 Million

3G and 4G services in Pakistan have brought advancement in the country. Mobile phone penetration especially demand and supply of smartphones have increased. Technologically, Pakistan has advanced and modernized. Now as per the statistics provided by PTA, Pakistan Broadband subscribers have reached 46 million.

The total number of mobile users in Pakistan has reached 141 million with 70.25 cellular mobile teledensity. So quite clearly 3G and 4G users in Pakistan have increased tremendously.

Major telecom companies in Pakistan are Telenor, Ufone, Jazz, and Zong. The 3G users of Telenor, Ufone, Jazz, and Zong are 10.7 million, 5.4 million, 13.64 million and 8.9 million respectively. The 4G users of Telenor, Jazz, and Zong are 9 lac, 1.3 million and 4.6 million respectively.

MOIT has unveiled in a report that almost 75% of Pakistanis have access to broadband internet. There was a time when Pakistan was quite behind in adopting new technologies. In order to combat this issue, Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication arranged almost 91,000 KM fiber Optic in Pakistan. Also recently the news came that PTCL is bringing high-speed reliable internet by upgrading to fiber cables. Also, PTA has announced that soon it will start testing 5g services in Pakistan. So these step will bring further advancement in Pakistan.
