YouTube plans to add more people to its team to review and remove extremist and violent content from their video sharing platform.
CEO YouTube, Susan Wojcicki said in a blog post, “we are taking strict actions to protect our users from inappropriate content by implementing strict policies and forming a larger enforcement team.”

“We are going to take strict action in the comments section, comments moderation tools, launching new comment and in some cases shutting down the comments altogether,” she added.
“We are planning to expand our team to over 10,000 people across Google working in 2018 to address the extremist and violent content posted on the website,” she said.
YouTube has been criticized by the advertisers and advocacy groups for failing to regulate the content and accounts for the way its services shape public opinion.
