On Wednesday the US Embassy in Pakistan made the announcement that for facilitating the Pakistanis applying for the US visa with a new optional visa delivery policy.
As per the announcement the service would enable the visa applicants to collect their visa and passport at their doorstep anywhere in Pakistan.
The announcement was posted on the official Twitter account of the US embassy.
The visa delivery option is however optional and comes with delivery charges.
The posted tweeted read that the US Embassy in Pakistan is now offering the optional home delivery service for the US # VISA. The fee for the service would be Rs.700, for making use of the service choose “premium delivery” option during the application process.
It is important to mention that previously this year, the US revised its visa policy for the Pakistani nationals, by introducing a fee increase and changes in the duration of visa validity for various categories.
As per the notification issued by the US Embassy in the federal capital, the visa duration for the Pakistani journalises was deducted from 5 years to 3 months only, and the validity for work and missionary visas was also decreased to one year from 5 years.
But there was no change in the validity for the tourist, student and trade visas.
As per the latest development, PM Khan would be inaugurating the digital Pakistan campaign today. Under the campaign, the correspondence between the various government departments would be digitalised.
