Xiaomi Redmi K70 Pro will debut a new Light Hunter camera and 4,000 nit display

The Chinese company Xiaomi is all set to debut its Redmi K70 series along with a new laptop and a smartwatch. The company has officially shared a few details about the design and camera improvements of the upcoming Redmi K70 Pro. Although not early next year, the Redmi K70 Pro will make its international debut like the POCO F6 Pro. As of now, several modifications compared to the last year have been made to the upcoming model.

Recently, several images of the Redmi K70 Pro and Redmi K70 surfaced online. According to the details, the Redmi K70 Pro will come with support for the Light Hunter 800. It is a new camera sensor that works effectively with Qualcomm’s recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset’s image signal processor (ISP). In addition to this, the smartphone includes another feature, ‘Night Owl’ that will improve the image quality by enhancing color reproduction in low-light conditions. Night Owl is a self-developed algorithm that can also reduce image noise.

The model number of the sensor indicates that it is a different variant from the one that was used (Light Hunter 900) with the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro. This is highlighted by the specifications that have been made public thus far, with Xiaomi specifying an optical format of 1/1.55 inches as opposed to 1/1.31 inches for the Light Hunter 900.

In addition to this, the company claims that the display of the Redmi K70 Pro will feature 4,000 nits of peak brightness. Xiaomi has stated that the underlying panel in question is the TCL C8, which it already utilizes in the Xiaomi 14 series, even though this assertion has not yet been independently verified. In order to provide an ‘epoch-making eye protection solution’, the display features 2K resolution along with a 3,840 Hz PWM frequency. The Redmi K70 series will be official on November 29.
