On the morning of September 10, the 2020 China Top 500 Private Enterprises Summit was held in Beijing, and the 2020 China Top 500 Private Enterprises list was released at the meeting.

The report shows that Huawei continued to rank first, while Suning and Zhengwei International entered the top three.

Among them, Huawei’s revenue exceeded 850 billion yuan, ranking first among the top 500 private enterprises and the top 500 private enterprises in the manufacturing industry. Suning ranks first among the top 100 private enterprises in the service industry.

In addition, Lenovo ranks 7th, Xiaomi ranks 18th, SF Express ranks 45th, Baidu ranks 50th, Netease ranks 138th, and Zhongtong ranks 264th.

The report pointed out that this year’s top 500 private enterprises’ entry threshold exceeded 20 billion yuan; the total operating income of the top 500 private enterprises was 30.17 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.85%. The total assets were 36.96 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.78%. After-tax net profit was 1.39 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.06%.

The total tax paid by the top 500 private enterprises reached 1.37 trillion yuan, accounting for 8.70% of the country’s total tax revenue.

According to Chinese media, there are 331 shortlisted enterprises in the secondary industry, of which 288 are manufacturing enterprises, which continue to dominate. There were 164 finalists in the tertiary industry, an increase of 7 over the previous year. The report also mentioned that at the beginning of this year, the sudden new crown pneumonia epidemic had a greater impact on the country’s economy and society, and private enterprises, especially small, medium, and micro enterprises, faced greater difficulties. The survey shows that 96.00% of Fortune 500 companies believe that the epidemic has affected their production and operations to varying degrees.
