Xiaomi Mi A2 phone with Android One announced

Xiaomi has announced Xiaomi Mi A2 phone running on Android One, the company has announced two variants Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite. The Android One is the Google’s sliced version of Android targeted for low-end Android devices, However, as Xiaomi’s legacy is to give higher specs in lower prices, Xiaomi Mi A2 phone are pretty much mid-range smartphones.

Xiaomi Mi A2 specifications

The Premium variant Mi A2 is 7.2mm thick and sports 6-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio, 1080p LCD screen. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 660 chipset; the camera department is quite impressive with 12MP+20MP dual camera setup.

The phone also feature 20-megapixels selfie camera with LED flash, the phone also has C-type USB connectivity and has 3,000mAh battery. The best part is that Mi A2 comes with 128GB internal storage and 6GB RAM.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite specifications

The Mi A2 is lighter and cheaper variant, this device also has the notch on top, 5.84-inch with 1080p and 19:9 LCD display. A2 Lite also has lighter snapdragon 625 processor, also equipped with dual cameras 12MP+5MP along with 5MP selfie camera, the camera department is much lower as compared to the premium variant but it excels in battery life with 4,000mAh battery. The phone is 8.75mm little thicker than its big brother. A2 Lite will give you 64GB internal storage with 4GB RAM, still pretty impressive at the lower cost.

Xiaomi will first launch the Mi A2 phone in Spain, the decision comes after Xiaomi has planned to expand into the country last year. However, Xiaomi has kept the prices little higher as compared to its pricing strategy in China and neighboring countries.

The Mi A2 Lite will cost $290 with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM, $325 for 4GB/64GB variant and $408 for 6GB/128GB variant. Xiaomi has also 3GB/32GB variant for $209, and 4GB/64GB model for $267 in Spain.

Xiaomi has also announced that this phone will be launched in 40 countries including South Asian countries.
