According to the previous leaks Xiaomi is going to feature triple rear camera in its upcoming Xiaomi Mi 9, it was also reported last month that Xiaomi is going to launch its first 48MP camera soon, however, it wasn’t clear at that time which Xiaomi model will exhibit 48MP camera and what more features the phone will have.
In a recent leak from Chinese source, Xiaomi Mi 9 has provided us more detailed specifications. The phone will exhibit triple camera setup at the rear, the main camera will feature 48MP camera using Sony’s IMX586 camera sensor along with 12MP secondary and 3D TOF camera.
Xiaomi Mi 9 Specifications
The phone will feature 6.4-inch FHD+AMOLED display with waterdrop notch accommodating 24MP front selfie shooter with Sony IMX576 sensor. The phones rear side design resembles Huawei P20 Pro and the front side design resembles OnePlus 6T especially when you look at the camera arrangements.
Xiaomi Mi 9 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 SoC which has X24 LTE modem, the SoC is Qualcomm’s one of the top performing chips on the market. The base model of Xiaomi Mi 9 will sport 6GB+128GB internal storage and the base model is reportedly priced at CNY 2,999 which roughly translates to $436. That is pretty pricey handset as far as Xiaomi smartphones are concerned however, it also brings you pretty cools specifications.
Xiaomi Mi 9 reportedly has on-screen fingerprint sensor, the phone will run on Android Pie 9.0 with MIUI 10 out of the box.
Mi 9 will also have 3500mAh battery with 32W fast charging support but the phone will not support wireless charging. Xiaomi is also expected to unveil the full specifications of Mi 9 at the MWC 2019 event in February and it is likely to debut in March. Since these specifications are speculations and rumors so you should take it as a grain of salt, however, most of the rumors almost between 60 to 90 percent are correct, we can expect Xiaomi launching Mi 9 with almost similar specifications as mentioned above, now we can only wait for more leaks and finally the official unveiling on the handset.
