A written order has been issued in the case of misconduct against 21 lawyers involved in the attack on the Islamabad High Court. A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Athar Minallah of the Islamabad High Court issued the order.
The court issued notices to the lawyers involved in the attack. According to the written order, court notices against the arrested lawyers involved in the incident should be sent to the Superintendent Adiala Jail and all parties should submit a written reply to the court before the next hearing. The ruling said that the scrutiny committee had identified 150 lawyers involved in the High Court attack.
The Chief Justice Block of the Abad High Court was attacked. The lawyers had vandalized the Chief Justice Block during the attack on the High Court. According to the written order, all the judges, including the Chief Justice, were kept under siege for five hours by angry lawyers during the High Court attack, while people were kept away from seeking justice from the court. The party condemned the attack on the High Court and the council assured action against the lawyers involved in the attack. The order said that the High Court would identify the lawyers involved in the attack and further hearing on the case would be held on February 25.
