Windows 11 Enterprize Provides Free Virtual Machines

Virtual Machine

Microsoft is offering four new Windows 11 Enterprise image files for download. The images can be used in combination with virtualization platforms such as VMWare and VirtualBox. Developers can operate the virtual machines free of charge until the beginning of 2022.

The images are immediately ready for use and can be integrated into a virtual machine immediately. In addition to VMWare and VirtualBox, Hyper-V and Parallels are also supported. In addition to the Enterprise Edition of Windows 11, the copies contain the Windows 10 SDK, Visual Studio 2019, and the Windows Subsystem for Linux. In addition, the developer mode has been activated so that developers can use the images to test their programs.

Download Without Account

Since no Microsoft account is required for the download, every interested user has the option of obtaining the preconfigured images. Although the offer is mainly aimed at developers, private users also have the opportunity to set up and try out a virtual machine based on Windows 11 Enterprise.

The packages provided are each between 17.7 and 20.6 gigabytes in size and can be added to a virtual machine until January 9, 2022. If you want to use the images after the expiration date, you have to purchase a regular license. The four images can be downloaded from a specially set up Microsoft website.
