Windows 10 And iOS Xbox Cloud Gaming Beta Starts
Microsoft starts the beta phase for Xbox Cloud Gaming for Windows 10 PC and iOS devices on April 20th. Microsoft is now sending invitations to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members – so access to the beta is exclusive.
As announced last year, Microsoft will bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to more devices. Now that Android users have been able to enjoy it, the beta is now being extended to iOS devices. Xbox Cloud Gaming is available as an invite-only program to existing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in supported regions. These regions in Europe include Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain and Sweden. A total of 22 countries are included in the beta test.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership alone does not guarantee access to the beta version by invitation. Microsoft currently only sends out a limited number of invitations. The invitations are tied to an Xbox profile and cannot be passed on or exchanged. The team promises to gradually invite more users and expand the test. The first invitations should be sent out from April 20th. Then the limited Xbox Cloud Gaming Beta for Windows 10 PC and Apple phones and tablets starts via the web browser.
Those invited can then play over 100 Xbox Game Pass titles via Edge, Google Chrome or Safari.
