On Wednesday, it has been confirmed that Author Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka is getting a prequel. The work has been officially started on the film and will be released by 2023.
According to the shared details, Willy Wonka which is known to be the Children’s literary icon is soon getting another sequel after Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp’s previous hits from 1971 and 2005 correspondingly.
According to the collider, this time Warner Bros is working on the prequel to Willy Wonka for which they are considering actors Tom Holland and Timothee Chalamet to play the role of the young chocolate whizz.
The film is going to be released on the 17th of March, 2023.
On the other hand, the new prequel to Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka will be directed by Paul King. David Heyman (known for his role in Harry Potter) is going to be the producer of the upcoming film.
