Malala Yousafzai, the young girl who won the Nobel Peace Prize is returning back to Pakistan after six years. She was shot in the head by Taliban militants in 2012. Then she left Pakistan and now after six years she is returning back to her homeland. The youngster was fighting for female education when she was shot by a gunman. Today at the age of 20, she is a renowned human rights activist and speaker.
Interesting: Why has CPEC become a threat to India
In Pakistan, the reason for her return is not yet disclosed. We do know this though that she will have meetings with the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and other senior officials of the country. She will be in Pakistan for four days. Furthermore, she came with her family and her Malala Fund group. It means that she might want to expand her social work in the country. But till now it is just speculation.
Also, it is not confirmed yet whether she will visit her hometown in Swat or not.
Her whole trip was kept quite secret and hushed up “in view of the sensitivity”. She was taken from the Islamabad’s Benazir Bhutto International Airport with her parents under tight security.
