WhatsApp to Introduce Instagram’s Boomerang feature

WhatsApp is reportedly developing a Boomerang feature similar to the existing one on Instagram. A report by WaBetaInfo stated that the WhatsApp Boomerang feature is in the development stage and is not available as of yet to the users.

The feature will be available in the Video Type panel for those videos that are less than 7 seconds long. These boomerangs can be shared with contacts. Also, users can add them as their WhatsApp status.

WhatsApp does allow users to convert their videos into GIFs. But Instagram’s Boomerang feature on WhatsApp will be something new and exciting.

Initially, the feature will launch on iOS and later on Android phones. Also, WhatsApp is working on a Universal Windows Platform (UWP) app. The app will enable the users to use their account on more than one device that includes both iOS and Android smartphones.

Initially, the Boomerang app was launched back in October 2015. Then in later 2016, the feature was added to the Instagram stories. Now WhatsApp is also working on the Boomerang feature that will enable users to create looping videos. It will be first available for iPhone users and then for Android users.
