WhatsApp to Add New Colors to its Dark Theme, Enable Calling on the WhatsApp Web

WhatsApp is working on some new features. It is expected that soon WhatsApp would add new colors to its Dark Theme. Also, it would enable calling on the WhatsApp web. There were reports earlier on that suggested that WhatsApp will soon launch the multi-device support for beta users. Also, the Facebook-owned messaging app is testing features that include Search by date message, redesigned storage, etc.

It is expected that WhatsApp will add new colors to the Dark theme. It would permit users to conduct voice and video calls via the WhatsApp web. Earlier on reports circulated that WhatsApp was working on implementing Dark Theme for its web and desktop users.

The WAbetainfo report stated, “Today, thanks to the 2.2025.5 update, we have discovered that WhatsApp is working on a different Dark Theme using alternative dark colors (they are doing the same for the dark iOS bubbles).”

The gray, bright yellow and green colors are visible as per the screenshots. Using WhatsApp Settings > Theme users would be able to enable the feature on the WhatsApp settings, once the feature is added.

WhatsApp voice and video calls feature is already available on the Android and iOS app, and soon now it will also be available on the WhatsApp web. Furthermore, the company is also working on allowing users to make group voice and video calls via the WhatsApp web.
