As the summer season has come so is the summer delight—the King of Fruits—Mango. Traders are witnessing a good surge in the demand for mangoes as mango-lovers enjoy breaking their fast with the delicious fruit in iftar.

Mangoes are immensely popular among Pakistanis. The fruit is low in calories, high in fibre and contains a small portion of carbohydrates, iron, potassium, calcium and a little protein. The fruit is rich in vitamins A, B and C.

As per the shopkeepers, many varieties of mangoes grow in the different parts of Pakistan and consumers have a very strong affection for this fruit and its varieties.

According to a mango-lover, mango is his favourite fruit during summers as Pakistani mangoes have got more than four hundred varieties and are taken to be among the best of the world.

Besides, mangoes being sweet, scrumptious and having an irresistible taste, they have got many health benefits also, as informed by a doctor. He said that mangoes not just help in lowering the cholesterol levels and improve health but also helps in preventing cancer.

A vendor informed that Pakistani mangoes are loved both locally and internationally for their taste and quality.

Mangoes are one the sweetest fruits ever. One consumer mentioned that chaunsa—a mango variety was of the best available varieties of the world.
