Utility Stores to Remain Open for 12 Hours in Ramazan

The Utility Stores Corporation—USC has taken the decision to increase the working hours of the stores throughout Pakistan to 12 hours during the holy month of Ramazan.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the USC spokesperson said that they are increasing the timings of all the Utility Stores.

He added that the working hours of the stores located in the supermarkets and smaller markets have been surged by 2 to 12 hours.

He said that the utility stores would remain open from 10 am to 10 pm. He added that in small markets, stores timings would be from 9 am to 9 pm.

The working hours for the stores situated in the rural areas would be 11 and ½ hours and they would be open from 8 am to 7:30 pm.

Furthermore, the Utility Stores would also be open on Sundays.

He added that the new schedule is initially for the holy month and added that the measure was taken to provide ease to the public during Ramazan.

The USC spokesperson also mentioned that the corporation has cleared the backlog payments of the vendors which have led to improved supply.

He also said that nearly all the stores have sufficient supplies of edibles and needed household commodities.
