The USA revealed a four-point safety ranking system for countries around the globe and the dangers that lie in visiting them.

At Level Four, ten war zones are ranked as the USA state department said, “Do Not Travel”: Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Mali, Somalia, South Sudan, Syria, and Yemen.

At Level 3 are the countries the USA has asked its citizens to reconsider traveling to, and Pakistan is amongst them.

USA State Department said, “Reconsider travel to Pakistan due to terrorism. Some areas have increased risk. Do not travel to Balochistan province, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province, the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, (FATA) and the Azad Kashmir area due to terrorism and armed conflict.”

North Korea is in Level Four but another restriction for North Korea is that the USA has banned American travelers to use their passports in North Korea. Thus, visiting it is completely banned.

Now how most of the countries are rated by the USA may cause anger and fury globally. As per State Department, it has just changed the already existing advice in a new shape, making advice easier and simpler for travelers. Still, the ranking of countries can easily offend foreign nations.

Senior consular official Michelle Bernier-Toth said, “These are not political documents. These are simply based on our assessment of the security situation.”

At Level Two are positioned Britain, France, and Germany urging USA citizens to “exercise increased caution.” Level one is granted to authoritarian Uzbekistan asking the citizens to “exercise usual precautions.”

As per a statement heard by USA senators from State Department, Cuban government knows someone that has a weapon which is used to inflict brain trauma on Americans in Havana. Still, Cuba  is ranked at Level 3, asking Americans just to “Reconsider Travel.”

The USA is not ranked in this ranking but if we put statistics in mind, per capita murder rate in America is 4.88 per 100,000 people. Cuba’s rate is 4.72 and Somalia is at 5.56. Cuba is given Level 3 rank and Somalia Level 4, so does USA ranking fall in between them as well?
