“Starting to develop a much better relationship with Pakistan and its leaders. I want to thank them for their cooperation on many fronts.”

After Lahore blast in 2016 in which 74 people were killed, Trump tweeted

“Another radical Islamic attack, this time in Pakistan, targeting Christian women & children. At least 67 dead,400 injured. I alone can solve.”

 

Trump was quoted saying in March 2016, while being interviewed by CNN that, “Pakistan is a very very vital problem and really vital country for us because they have nuclear weapons and they have to get a hold of the situation.”
