Paul Jones—the US Ambassador said that Fulbright program is one of the most honorable academic exchange programs in the world.
More than 200 Fulbright alumni took part in the 16th annual Fulbright Alumni Conference from the 13th until the 16th of December.
The theme of this year was “Global Best Practices in Local Context” highlighted the various ways in which the Fulbright alumni are opening new paths for the country in the fields of agriculture, media, arts and education.
The Fulbright student program jointly funded by the American and the government of Pakistan is the largest in the world and offers scholarships for hundreds of Pakistanis nationals every year for perusing the masters and doctoral programs in the US.
The US Ambassador during the conference congratulated the alumni on their achievements and their continued commitment for applying the skills they developed in the US for making advancements in the key sectors of Pakistan.
The Fulbright program remains one of the most honorable academic exchange programs in the world. The Fulbright alumni return to Pakistan enhanced academically, with the new global network in their field of education.
He added that they appreciate the commitment and knowledge of the alumni as the gap builders between the people and the two nations.
The Fulbright program, that is sponsored by the US government is an international exchange program and is backed by the people of the US and the partner nations across the world.
Since 1946, the Fulbright program has given more than 390,000 participants from more than 155 nations with the chance to study, conduct research, teach, exchange ideas and to contribute for finding the solutions to the shared international concerns.
