Pakistan General Elections will be held on Wednesday, July 25th, 2018. It will be a holiday in Pakistan as people will be out to cast vote to their desired party. Earlier, elections were held on May 11th, 2013. At that time government announced that educational institutions will remain closed for 3 days from May 8th to May 11th.
Now if we keep prior history in mind, chances are that due to elections Pakistani public might get off for more than one day, but that is just an assumption. Until the government publically announce the holidays for Pak General Elections 2018, we can fairly assume just one day holiday on Wednesday, July 25th.
On 28th May the former chief justice Nasir Ul Mulk has been appointed as the Caretaker Prime Minister until general elections are held on the set date.
Ex-Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said,”We have selected a candidate for caretaker premier who will prove to play a democratic role in the upcoming general election. Every name was discussed, and this name was decided upon. It’s a name no one can point fingers at. Today is a historic day for Pakistan and democracy.”
