A number of Hajj pilgrims in the holy city of Makkah after spending at least 9 days in Madinah complained about the untrained staff and unhygienic food being provided to them.
While talking to the media, a Hajj pilgrim of building number 218 said that the ones who came under the government scheme were being served a healthy diet in the start but later the quality of food was compromised and made the life of Hajj pilgrims miserable.
The Hajj pilgrims registered complaints many times over the decreasing quality of food to the food committee, but all went fruitless. They have given assurance to the Hajj pilgrims to remove their problems on a priority basis however no improvement was brought into effect so far.
The Hajj pilgrim further added that he has asked the higher hierarchy for discussing the issues being faced but he was told they were not permitted to give the contact number of their bosses to anyone.
Another Hajj pilgrim complained about the low moral values of the food serving staff.
She added that the staff designated the task of food serving has no ethics of making interactions with the Hajj pilgrims. They behave in an uncivilized manner with the Hajj pilgrims and sometimes they even fight over small matters.
They expressed hope that the religious minister would take immediate action and would give some relief to the Hajj pilgrims who were to perform their religious duties.
