UK-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UKPCCI) is all set to hold “Made in Pakistan Expo” in the United Kingdom in October 2018 focused on promoting Pakistani products into the British market.
Earlier, a 10 member delegation from UKPCCI including the president Muhammad Sadeeq visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) on Wednesday and gave a briefing about the upcoming event in the UK where Pakistani companies would be able to showcase their products to the UK market.
The delegation informed that they will be representing various sectors including real estate, Hospitality, health, furniture, food products, education, importers of rice, halal meat and livestock.
While speaking at the conference, UKPCCI president said Pakistani community in the UK wants to see prospering Pakistan in all sectors because of the love they have for their country. A 25-member delegation visited the recent Karachi-Expo in Pakistan. He said the delegation has conducted the market analysis and explored the opportunities for investment and joint ventures at the event. The delegation had many fruitful meetings at the event out of which some members finalized the business deals with Pakistan.
General Secretary UKPCCI Kamran Khan said both ICCI and UKPCCI should set up help desks to facilitate members from both sides in order to channelize bilateral trade between both countries.
Both countries should actively participate in mutual cooperation to explore untapped areas in the business, we should organize frequent and ongoing trade delegations in order to keep in touch and speed up joint efforts to promote trade between both countries. Pakistan has now emerging investment opportunities in various sectors which is even more attractive due to CPEC project, UKPCCI should convince Pakistani investors in the UK to bring technology and investment in Pakistan in the areas of their own interest, said president ICCI.
