UCs Seals the Most Affected Areas of Karachi

The Sindh government ordered to seal some areas but within six hours they withdrew the decision to seal off different areas in the District East.

The Information Minister Sindh told that the Deputy Commissioner East has been asked to seal only those areas which are most affected.

Eleven union councils of the East District have been sealed where most cases of coronavirus were identified. The sealed District council includes UC-8 Jamali Colony, UC-14 Faisal Cant, UC-9 Gulshan-II, UC-10 Pehalwan Goth, UC-12 Gulzar-e-Hijri, UC-6 Gilani Railways UC-13 Safora, UC-1 Manzoor Colony, UC-9 Jacob Lines, UC-7 Dalmia and UC-10 Jamshed Quarters.

Also, the Rangers and Police are asked by the Provincial government to cordon off the affected union councils.

The cordon off was announced after Murad Ali Shah shared a video message in which he told the citizens about the detection of 104 new coronavirus cases within 24 hours.

He called this an alarming situation and the solution to this problem is only social distancing and cooperating properly with the lockdown.

The Chief Minister said that 531 samples were taken for the test out of which 104 have been tested positive.

This is the highest average so far. The total number of confirmed cases in Sindh has risen up to 1,318 and 28 people have died due to the virus.

Murad Ali Shah also stated that 922 people are undergoing treatment and 380 have recovered so far in the province.

He also listed the age bracket of the confirmed cases according to which from the age of 1-10 sixty four people are affected, 104 are from the age group of 11-20, 270 from 21-30 age groups, 227 from 31-40, 182 from 41-50, 197 from 51-60, 135 from 61-70, 41 from 71-80 and 5 patients from the age group of 81-90.

According to him, this growth in the number of cases is leading us with a way to how to live our lives in the future.

The chief minister focuses on the lockdown on being the only solution which the people took very lightly and hence the number of cases increased.

He says that he had ordered to make the lockdown stricter especially in those areas which are badly affected. Also, he has asked everyone to take this matter seriously.
