Uber Partners With AXA Insurance Group To Cover Driver Accidents In France

Uber has announced today that it partners with AXA insurance group to provide accident cover for drivers working at Uber in France.

The largest ride-hailing services company has faced criticism in France and other countries by lawmakers, activists, and workers for not providing worker benefits as they get in other companies like a permanent employee.

Uber uses free workers and does not offer them benefits of employees, the company is providing cheap services in the market and makes a good profit with these services, it should also take care of its workers in return, say critics.

The company is planning to launch the system in Autumn, no further details have been provided regarding the details of accident cover programme however, the both the companies said in a statement that further details with be imparted once the system is setup.

“The partnership will help to safeguard Uber’s independent employees who enjoy working flexible hours at the touch of a button and we will continue to listen about future improvements that can create the best possible experience for our workers,” said Pierre Dimitri Gore-Coty, Uber head of operations in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
