Uber Introduces Its Own Credit Card

Uber has collaborated with Barclays and Visa at Money 2020 Conference, Las Vegas to introduce its very own credit card. For customers, it is extremely beneficial as they can easily pay via this new credit card and remain updated with customer information. So Uber users can pay via their new credit card.

Customers who use Uber can apply for this credit card by November 2, 2017. The application will be via UberApp. This whole procedure will be completed in a couple of minutes while they will receive the card in almost a week.

There will be no cost to purchase Uber credit Card. Moreover, if users spend $500 on purchase within 3 months they will receive an extra $100 bonus. Uber will give back on restaurants and bar purchases, airfare hotel and Airbnb, online purchases and on everything else 4%, 3%, 2% and1% respectively.

Uber Global head of business & corporate development David Richter said, “We are always looking for unique ways to surprise and delight our riders, which is the reason we built the Uber Visa Card. We partnered with Barclays to design a credit card that is not only custom-tailored to reward our customers’ everyday lifestyle, but is also fully integrated into the Uber app experience.”

Along with this Uber will be giving around $50 yearly credit to various subscriptions including Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Prime. This is applicable if a user spends $5000 on Uber card annually. If Uber Credit card is used outside the US there will be no foreign transaction fees or yearly fees.

The offer by Uber is attractive, not just for Uber customers but for the general audience as well who don’t use Uber.
