Uber Driver Arrested in Karachi for demanding money for a lost phone by female customer

An online Taxi-Driver was apprehended by the police in Karachi on Sunday for wringing money from a female customer in exchange of the phone she left in the car.

A female reportedly used Uber an online ride-hailing app to book a taxi, she safely arrived at her destination in Karachi area Gulshan-e-Iqbal but she forgot her mobile phone in the car. Later she rang her mobile phone back to know where it was left, the driver picked up the phone and refused to give her phone back but for money.

She immediately filed an official complaint against the Uber driver, the police arrested the driver after some time and confiscated her phone. She told police that the driver demanded Rs10,000 for the phone. Last month, another online taxi-driver speed away with a customer’s bag in it, Sama Reported
