Uber Cheapest Service Launched – Uber Express Pool

Uber has launched its cheapest service or offer for its customers called Uber Express Pool. UberExpressPool is similar to UberPool that allows the travellers to save money. A huge discount will be given on these rides. Some rides will have up to 50% off.

Currently Uber has started this offer in Los Angeles, San Diego and Denver, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and Miami, Boston and San Francisco.

The different offer in Express Pool is that it allows the option of multiple people sharing a ride by walking to a single pickup point.

Ethan Stock, Uber’s product director for shared rides said,  “Walking and waiting to help us make more optimal matches and provide better, straighter, faster routes with fewer detours, delivering an even more affordable and consistent option than POOL to consumers.”

He added, “ This is very much about making it possible for everyone to afford the magic of Uber every day, with an emphasis here on everyone.”

How is the ride cheaper?

The ride is affordable because the rider has to walk to the meeting point before the ride picks him/her up. Two he/she might have to wait longer as per Uber. Thirdly the ride will be shared.

This is the reason that an affordable, cheaper ride will be provided to the rider.

Now people are also comparing this service with a bus service but Uber doesn’t feel that it can be compared to a bus service.

Stock said, “We don’t think that this is at all like a bus. Three of the fundamental things about how buses work is they have fixed pickup and drop-off spots, a fixed route and a fixed time schedule that they’re operating on. Everything about the Express Pool product is dynamic.”

In Pakistan Uber launched uberMINI in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi offering low rates rides.
