The regular fights between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan are to resume in the coming week, as informed by Ahmed Amjad Ali the Consul General of the Pakistan Consulate in Dubai.
He said that about five hundred and sixty one Pakistanis had been offered free air tickets, and added that four hundred and eight homeless citizens were given food and shelter.
Ali said that 30,229 Pakistanis had been brought back from Dubai which makes up ninety percent of the ones who were stranded.
Altogether 141 flights have flown between Dubai and Pakistan, out of the total count 138 were managed and operated by the Pakistan International Airlines, as per the information shared by the consul general.
He further added that the bodies of 408 Pakistanis who died owing to COVID-19 have also been brought on these flights, whereas 52 people were buried in Dubai.
He indicated that seventeen thousand bags of ration had been distributed by the consulate in Dubai and its surrounding emirate states.
