The top export destination for Pakistan remains to be the United States in August. The county earned $334.5 million in proceeds during August. This is a decline in comparison to the $341.08m in the same period of 2019.
State Bank released data as per which, Pakistan received $671.75m from the US from July to August. In the same months of 2019, Pakistan received $714.63m. This registered a decline of 6%.
According to the details, in August, the United Kingdom was the second-biggest export destination for Pakistan at $129.17m.
To Germany, the exports of Pakistan increased by 6.75% to $111.79m in August. To China, the exports of Pakistan were worth $93.649m dipping by 25.88% over $126.345m in the same period in 2019.
In August, the United Arab Emirates purchased the merchandise of Pakistan. It was worth $93.219m in August reducing by 6.51% in comparison to $99.714m in the same time period last year.
To Afghanistan, the exports increased by 5.36% from $57.873m in August last year to $60.975m in August this year.
On the other hand, Pakistan imported most of the merchandise from China at $783.365m in August. This was an increase of 1.84% from $769.235m in the same month of 2019.
From the UAE, imports increased in Pakistan by 3.78% to $559.544m in August. From Singapore, Pakistan bought merchandise worth $192.378m this August.
