Pakistan Army’s two high-ranking officials are facing court martial for spying. The officials are arrested and are facing espionage charges. An inquiry will be done regarding this sensitive matter.
According to the Director General Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor, two military officers are facing general field court-martial as revealed in the press briefing.
The names of the arrested officers have not been given by the DG ISPR. He said they were working individually and were not part of any of the network.
Furthermore the DG ISPR refrained from telling when they got arrested and the country names they were spying for.
He said their arrest was a success of Pakistan Army and a big breakthrough. As per media sources one of the officer was a Lieutenant General and the other was a Pak Army Brigadier. Thus their arrests was a huge success.
DG ISPR revealed that the former ISI chief General (retd) Asad Durrani is also guilty of breaching the code of conduct of the army. His pensions and other benefits were stopped due to that.
Asad Durrani also published his controversial book last year that was co-authored by ex-Indian chief A S Dulat.
