ISLAMABAD: According to the latest report, two flights of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) from Islamabad to Gilgit have returned due to strong winds and storms in the region.
After reaching Gilgit airport, both flights were not able to make safe landing after the wind was blowing at a speed of 15 nautical miles. However, the PIA pilots made their way home and both the flights returned to Islamabad Airport safely, GNN Reported.
According to the spokesman of PIA “both the flights landed back to Islamabad, the third flight from Islamabad to Gilgit was also being canceled and the weather at Bunji on the way was also bad.”
The spokesperson said that all the three flights would now be rescheduled for tomorrow. The caretaker Chief Minister, Secretary and Secretary Works were also on board the flight.
