Personal Twitter account of President of the United States Donald Trump (@realdonaldtrump) was down for 11 minutes on Thursday.
According to the statement by Twitter, Trump’s Twitter account was deactivated by an employee of Twitter Inc. who was about to leave the company.
“We have learned that the responsible for this action is a customer-support employee of Twitter Inc. who did this on employee’s last day with the company. We are conducting a full internal review,” Social media site said in a tweet.
In an earlier tweet, Twitter Inc. said, “that we are continuing to investigate and taking serious steps to prevent this from happening again.”
An official representative of Twitter Inc. has declined to comment further regarding this matter.
