From the 12th of June, the Films and TV productions will resume their work in California announced the State officials on Friday. They also approved new guidelines to avoid the spread of the coronavirus on sets.
The California Health Department released a statement according to which all the producers before restarting the shoots are supposed to get approval from the local health officials.
All the TV and Film shoots were stopped in mid-March to control the spread of the pandemic virus.
Hollywood studio task force and labor unions proposed widespread coronavirus testing, daily symptoms check, and other necessary safeguards before allowing all the actors and crew members to return back to work.
The necessary guidelines were developed by the representatives of Netflix Inc, Comcast Corp’s NBCUniversal, Walt Disney Co, and from the unions including; IATSE, SAG-AFTRA, and also the Directors Guild of America.
As per the state health department, all the productions should follow the guidelines and receive clearance from the country’s health officials.
The department further added that before granting approval, the country authorities should consider Local COVID-19 infection rates, attentiveness for a surge in the cases, testing capability, and other significant data.
