The President of Turkey, who is currently on a two-day official visit in Pakistan, said that several Pakistanis prefer travelling to western countries for the medical treatment but we hope to change that as Turkey offers health care that is more advanced than that of the western countries.
“We have hospitals with the latest technology that offer quality and affordable health care services,” President Erdogan said.
While addressing the Pakistan-Turkey Business Forum on Friday, he said that more than 500,000 people from other countries came to Turkey for the medical treatment last year. “I am happy and honored to be in Pakistan which we regard as our second home,” he added.
The president further thanked the authorities of Pakistan and the people of the country for being such great hosts.
“I hope this business forum will prove to be useful for both countries. The connections that we have and will establish, hopefully, will open the door for new businesses and partnerships. We want to increase the level of commercial and economic relations to the level of our political relations,” he said.
He further said that Turkey and Pakistan want to improve the trade relations as both countries are lagging behind in potential. “The several Turkish companies hope to invest in the several sectors of the Pakistan such as energy, food, construction, housing, and defence,” he added.
On the other hand, Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan said that Pakistan and Turkey need to improve their trade relations.
It is pertinent to mention here that the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan is currently in Pakistan on a two-day official visit and reached Pakistan on Thursday.
