Turkish Airlines has welcomed the plan put forward by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to commence the flight operations of the national flag carrier to Turkey from the month of August.
Arshad Malik, the CEO of PIA has said that the airline has decided to start the flight operations to Turkey from the first week of August. The flights would be commenced only after the aeronautical authorities of Turkey give permission to operate these flights.
As per the plan, the passengers of the national flag carrier would be able to travel to Europe from Turkey via Turkish Airlines.
In his letter, the CEO of the Turkish Airline suggested upgrading the codeshare from a unilateral to a bilateral arrangement with Pakistan.
He also said that the flights of both the firms to London, Barcelona, Birmingham, Oslo, Milan, and Copenhagen could also be made with the codeshare.
Through this, the Pakistani travelers landing at the airport of Istanbul would be able to book the flights on the European routes.
On the other hand, the cinemas in Lahore would be reopening after Muharram.
