Trucks Commute Restricted from Islamabad’s Roads During Peak Hours


The Islamabad Traffic Police—ITP has restricted trucks from traveling on to the roads of Islamabad during peak hours.

The entry of Heavy traveling vehicles—HTV has been banned in the capital city for 7 hours on a daily basis for ensuring smooth traffic flow during the peak hours and to provide the maximum convenience to the road commuters.

As per the spokesman of ITP, the entry of heavy traffic vehicles in the city would not be permitted from 7 am to 10 am and from 4 pm to 8 pm.

The heavy traffic coming from the GT Road Lahore or going to Sabzi Mandi from the GT road Peshawar Motorway would not be permitted to enter into the city premises.

Similarly, heavy traffic coming from Azad Kashmir through Murree, Kotli Sattrayn, Lehtrar road, Bhara Kau, Rawalpindi or Kahuta road would also not be permitted to enter in Islamabad.

The police spokesman said that this measure has been taken for assuring smooth traffic flow in the federal capital during the peak hours.
