Traveling Time from Islamabad to Naran Reduced to 4 hours

Due to the inauguration of the 39.3 km Havelian-Mansehra section of the 118-km-long Havelian-Thakot motorway project, the traveling time from Islamabad to Mansehra, and from Islamabad to Naran will be reduced. The traveling time from Islamabad to Mansehra will be reduced by 2.5 hours while the traveling time from Islamabad to Naran will be reduced to 4 hours.

Developing Pakistan tweeted, “Travelling time from #Naran to #Islamabad has been reduced to 4 hours for tourists. This Motorway will help in boosting economic activities and tourism in the area.”

The motorway is part of the mega China Pakistan Economic Corridor Project. It will be the main route for commercial traffic between China and Pakistan.

The average daily traffic during the current year is estimated at around 10,000 vehicles per day as per the National Highway Authority.

There are two tunnels of the Havelian-Mansehra section that includes 2.13 km Twin Tube, 47 bridges of 7.91 km, 9 fly-overs, 143 underpasses and culverts, four toll plazas and a service area.
