Dr. Hamid Ateeq Sarwar the member FBR said that the FBR is making negotiations with the concerned stakeholders on the matter of the new property rates.

The suggested valuation tables for the immovable properties of the different cities were uploaded on the website of FBR on the 21st of June for views and comments, as per the information provided by FBR in a statement.

It also added that the aforementioned tables are in the process of finalization. It has been observed that confusion is present with respect to the prevalence of FBR’s valuation rates for the immovable property.

As per the FBR, until the official notification of the new rates is issued, the present rates mentioned on the 1st of February would be applicable for conducting the purpose of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
