The Minister of Railways, Sheikh Rasheed hopes that the Pakistan Railways will resume its train services from the 25th of this month, as per the reports of local media.
Sheikh Rasheed while speaking to media in Rawalpindi said that Railways might operate by keeping a distance between the travellers and by keeping them in isloation from the 25th of April.
He also said that a train is all set for the patients of coronavirus, and it could be used at the time of need. He further added that the Pakistan Railways stands strongly with the country in these testing times.
The minister of Railways further added that all should refrain from settling the political affairs at this time as these are not such times to do politics.
He emphasized that a uniform plan is needed to be implemented under the present situation.
The minister further said that the employees of the railways have so far donated Rs.50.1 million to the coronavirus relief fund. He urged the govenrmnent of Sindh to release the ones who have broken Section 144.
On the other hand, as per the latest development all airports of the country are to get disinfectant tunnels soon. It would be mandated on the passengers to pass via these tunnels. These tunnels will be installed in order to control the spread of the novel COVID-19.
