An alternative traffic plan has been given by the traffic police of Rawalpindi for the 10th of the Muharram-ul-Haram on September 21 (Friday).
The traffic plan issued by the Rawalpindi traffic police said a team of as many as 847 traffic police officials will be deployed across Rawalpindi during the 10th of Muharram, which includes 671 traffic wardens, 163 traffic assistants, six traffic police inspectors, and seven deputy superintendents of the Rawalpindi traffic police.

- For all the traffic coming towards the Iqbal Road and DAV College Road:
Iqbal Road from Committee Chowk and DAV College Road of Rawalpindi will remain closed for all kinds of traffic during the 10th Muharram. No one will be allowed to head towards the Fawara Chowk (Raja Bazaar) from the DAV College Road. The traffic police have decided to divert all the traffic towards Gawalmandi and Bhoosa Mandi.
- For all traffic coming towards Kashmir Bazaar:
The traffic police have decided to allow anyone to head toward the Kashmir Bazaar. Traffic police will put a diversion in front of City Police Station and the traffic coming from the Novelty Cinema (near Raja Bazaar) will be diverted to Ganjmandi as per the plan.
- For all kinds of traffic coming towards Shah Allah Ditta Road:
As per the traffic plan authorities, a diversion will be placed a Shah Allah Ditta Road for all kinds of traffic on the 10th of Muharram. All the traffic will be diverted towards Dhoke Dalal, T.B Hospital, Asghar Mall Road, and Asghar Mall Chowk.
- For all the traffic coming from the Banni Chowk:
The traffic police have decided that all the traffic coming to Banni Chowk and links roads will be diverted back from the Roshan Bakery and will be diverted towards Saidpur Road and the Circular Road to head to the Murree Road and Liaquat Bagh.
