Earlier we informed our readers that Toyota is planning to launch Toyota Rush in Pakistan, and now we have a date. As per a local media outlet, Indus Motor Company is launching Toyota Rush in Pakistan on August 30th, 2018.
The first few hundred units of the car will be completely built units. It means that the first hundreds of units will be imported. It has not been made clear as to whether Toyota will completely import all the units or locally produce Toyota Rush as well.
The 1500CC mini-SUV was earlier launched as Daihatsu Terios in 2010 but it was discontinued later. Toyota IMC has now decided to first sell imported units in the country. Toyota will have a smart entry and push-start button. The steering will be electronically powered with 5.2 meters turning radius. There will be multimedia controls on the steering wheel. There will 7 touch display head unit that will have a USB port, DVD button, AUX cable slot, and Bluetooth. Also, Toyota Rush 208 will support Apple Carplay. For the rear passengers, there will be a digital climate control with a vent.
The car is equipped with a 1.5-liter petrol engine with 4-speed automatic transmission. The safety features in the car include anti-lock braking system, vehicle stability & traction control, brake assists etc. The car will be available in six different colors.
7-seater Toyota Rush’s 2018 model offered different features like upswept LED headlamps, Fortuner like styling, comfortable yet compact look.
The price will be around PKR 3 – 3.5 million.
Toyota Rush is known by different names in different countries like Daihatsu Bego, Grand or the Perodua Nautica.
