Toyota Launches Two New Variants of Hiace


Toyota Indus has launched two new variants of the 6th generation Hiace i.e. Toyota Hiace Low Grade, and Toyota Hiace High Grade. It was back in August 2019, that Toyota Indus launched Toyota Hiace.

Now the two newly launched Toyota Hiace models are powered by 1GD-FTV 16-Valve DOHC 4-cylinder 2.8L diesel engine coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The car has disc brakes on all of its wheels.

A few additional features in the new variant include headlamp leveling, LED tech for the front fog and driving lamps. There is an outside rear-view mirror in the low-grade Hiace. It is electric powered and is auto-retractable. In the high-grade variant there is a panoramic feature.

There are a few changes in the interior of the car having an illuminated entry system while entering from the driver side, a wireless locking system, 4 reading lamps at the rear along with optional dimming. For both the rear and front passengers automated air conditioning feature is present. Also, there are headrests for all the seats.

In the high-grade model, there is a push to start button with a 4-spoke leather and wood steering wheel. In the low-grade model, there is a 4-spoke urethane steering wheel. Both the models have 4.2-inch color LCD that is used as a multi-info display and SRS airbags on both the driver and passenger side. This includes an immobilizer and power siren.

Coming to the prices of the new models, the low-grade model costs PKR 8,700,000 while the high-grade variant costs PKR 9,999,000.

The price is quite high as when we look at the competitors of these models we see that KIA Grand Carnival just costs PKR 4.9-6.5 million while the Hyundai Grand Starex costs PKR 4.0- 5.2 million.
