Indus Motor Company (IMC) is planning to launch a new variant of Toyota Corolla in Pakistan, as per the reports. Toyota Corolla Cross will be launching soon in the Pakistani market. It is a compact crossover SUV. In Pakistan, it would directly compete with Honda Vezel, HR-V, and the Toyota C-HR.
In a briefing by IMC, this news was revealed. Officials said that they will be launching Corolla Cross in the country. It will be a Complete Built-up Unit from Thailand.
The overall length, width, and height of the SUV is 4,460 mm, 1,825 mm, and 1,620 mm respectively. The wheelbase length is 2,640 mm.
The Corolla Cross looks similar to the off-road mid and full-sized SUVs in the lineup of Toyota. The front bumper and grille design are taken from new Hilux. The headlight design is borrowed from Fortuner while the side profile and the rest of the silhouette from RAV-4.
Corolla Cross is equipped with two engines, one is the standard 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine while the second is the hybrid engine that produces 98 horsepower and 142 Nm of Torque.
The features included in Corolla Cross variants are seven airbags, back-seat air vents, 9.0-inch infotainment along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The price of the Corolla Cross has not been announced yet. However, as it is a CBU it will be priced around Rs. 5.5 million and Rs. 6.5 million.
