A British-Australian couple died in Portugal as they were taking a selfie on a 40-meter high wall. It is reported that the couple lost balance as they dropped their phone on the wall overlooking the famous beach near Ericrea. It is seaside tourist spot on the west coast in Portugal.

The Head of rescue service in Cascais port, Rui Pereira da Terra said,  “Everything seems to indicate that the fall happened when they were probably trying to take a selfie. Since we found a mobile phone on the wall, everything suggests the victims might have been taking a selfie, when they allowed the phone to fall, leaned over to grab it and fell.”

The names of tourist couple were identified as Michael Kearns, originally from Perth, Australia and his partner was Louise Benson. Micheal was from Australia and Louise from the UK. The mother of Micheal said the couple left Australia in January and attended a wedding in Portugal.

The ages of the couple revealed were 40 and 30-years old respectively. The couple fell by more than 30 meters, and they were found on Tuesday morning by a beach cleaner.
