Top court orders action against extremist elements in Faizabad sit-in case

The top court of the country on Wednesday has ordered the government to take action against the extremist elements.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has issued the written verdict in the suo-moto case pertaining to the sit-in at Faizabad by the workers of Tehreek-e-Labbaik back in 2017.

In the October of 2018, the leaders of Tehreek-e-Labbaik have been arrested by the law enforcement agencies after they set out on the streets across the country following the apex court’s judgment acquitting Aasia Bibi of blasphemy.

The 45-page long judgment has been penned down by the top court’s judge Justice Qazi Faiz Esa and announced through the website of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
